Random Thoughts: New Year! New Year!
Well, this is it ain't it? 2008's gonna end soon. It was certainly a good year, despit the fact that this was the first year being apart from most of our old schoolmates in our respectable secondary schools. Well, old friends parted ways, new ones were gained but, nonetheless, old friends won't be forgotten THAT easy. Haha. This years probably the start of many new ventures. Improvements were at hand, accomplished with the exception of some that are yet to be. So this post will probably be abt my summary why this was a good year.
1.Band, Band Mates and Original Songs.
What can I say? This had to be first. This was probably the year in which our band improved. From mere amateurs to playing an instruments, to a band that made a whole long list of songs waiting to be recorded. We lost our way halfway through with the departure of Gio to Australia (not permanent! haha), but we got back on our feets in time. Razmi, a good friend who I've seen improve alot vocally and even in playing the guitars. Helmy, the one with the most improvement in guitars and bass. The one who finds most of the tunes in our songs. Syafiq, well, we've never had a truly bad jamming session when he's around. He saved us. Haha. Gio, well, I pretty damn sure he's improved greatly with guitars. Judging from some samples he made. Me? I got two palms full of blisters the whole year long. HAHA!
2.The Founding Of The One And Only Kecoh-Rables.
On the month of April, I met these 7 people and to me they still completely and utter strangers. But now, after a full year with them, these 7 people made my day almost everyday. They cure the mundane atmosphere of school, liven up my day, and become treasure people. Randy, my brutha in school. We are sarcastic, haha.. Face it. It's us. Both enjoy music (namely SOAD), soccer, in which we are total rivals, as he likes Manchester United, wherelse I, Liverpool. Fadilah, the girl that layans the nonsense of the sarcastic bruthas... Haha. The only girl who puts on Escada, busy Secret Recipe worker (no more!). Rafidah, the one who I always go home with, the one with the weirdest laugh, the one who got followed (inside joke). Hanis, the one who influenced me to blog and to indulge myself in photography. We have TOTALLY different music tastes, but there's always DeviantArt that made us similar (we both are addicted to Deviant, haha). Fatihah, the one who probably laughs as much as Rafidah, smiles as wide as Rafidah and more. Haha. Probably one of the proper person to tell your problems to. Brendon, the tallest in the group, the funniest and craziest guy, the guy who loves mimicking and TKD. That's all of them in the picture. Well there's also one more.. Gerald, my fellow drummer, in a quite well known local band called Giants Must Fall (Giants Fall Down!! Haha). Also funny, in a way that may get you in trouble with passersbys.. These ITE friends made the year un-regrettable. See? Who said ITE was bad?
3. Rahimah and Sakinah
My two best buddies that keep me company day and night. Rahimah, someone who like me, like Billy Talent ( that was the first ever similarity, haha), my fellow Liverpool fan, someone who adores Liverpool striker Fernando Torres, Indon guys and much more. Someone who likes to use the KICK ME emoticon on me on MSN. Someone who thinks that Aliens are cuter than Bald Laughing Buddhas. Someone who made a rule saying that the longer I knew her, the longer the comments I have to give to her. Haha. But, overall, a good friend. Now, Sakinah.. The person whom I think I have disturbed the most in my lifetime, and vice versa. Haha. Probably the only friend I have in Sembawang. The one who'll accompany who to wherever in S'pore just to get a Starbucks treat later on. Haha. Overall, these two are also big events that made this year great.
4. Street Vandal Crew, Graffiti and Vector Art.
Meet (from left to right in the picture) Aceh, Noh, and Sukri. The best thing that ever happened to me, graffiti wise. They thought me alot, guided me throught the nerve-wrecking (but fun) first production. They practically made my dreams and aspiration to become an graffiti artist. Much thanks to Noh for the guidance and support. He was also the one who got me involved with vectoring using Photoshop. The piece of art that kept me busy when I'm too darn bored at home.
These three are definite impacts of my life, and one BIG event that made the year great. More productions to come, guys!! Write on!!
4. Last but not least, Cousins.
What can I say? I can't leave this bunch behind. Although I felt distant from them earlier this year, Hari Raya Haji, and the Birthday Bbq made me feel reunited with them. These are the ones I look forward to seeing alot. Doesn't neccassarily have to be on Hari Raya only. No words can describe how good it is to have them around. And also to have them as my cousins.
Those were the 4 bes highlights of this year. I'm not much for New Year Resolutions, but what the hell, I'll make an exception. In 2009, I'll try not to get angry alot. I'll aim to be a better drummer who contributes more into the band, a good classmate that will try to help the Kecoh-Rables, A better friend to Rahimah and Sakinah and also to the Kecoh-Rables. A better graffiti artist, vector artist so as to be able to make good proddys with Aceh, Noh, and Sukri and last but not least, a better cousin, to cousins, a better nephew to aunts and uncles, and a better son to parents. OMG! Cheesy or what! Dah dah!

Today is a Monday. An extremely boring Monday. Finished up Liwen's banner design for her school project. I must say it looks okay. I think I'm gonna create one for a T-Shirt design of my own. Haha. Today I slept quite alot without realising it. Don't ask me how. As usual the one keeping me company and layan-ing my nonsense is Buddy. Haha. Thanks dong, Rahimah! She asked me to read the threeBOREDkukuheads' blog post for today and I must say it was extremely funny. Well, almost all their posts are funny. I've linked them up, so, visit their blog sometime guys! Haha. And yes, feels like another fever. Haha. School's gonna re-open soon. And I haven't done my Visual Basic assignment! Well, most of my classmates didn't touch it too. But then, the due date is on the 7th of January. Haha. Fatihah's coming back on the 30th midnight. So is it this midnight, or the next midnight? So on the 25th, while everyone else are celebrating Christmas, the Kassim family was having a BBQ in conjuction with my dad's birthday at my house. Yes, my dad was born on Christmas. Haha. Imagine that. Also celebrated Haziq (from Suria's Chili Padi show) and Hairi's birthday. Alot came. Even my Granny (Mum's mom) and Dad's cousin came. Haha. According to Nisa's blog there were 55 people. Haha. The day before was a hectic one. Coz all a sudden everyone came without me knowing. Haha. And I was alone with lil sis. But the day itself was fun. The day that we truly had fun together. What's more, the new Sembawang Shopping Centre recently opened it's doors to impatient customers. Haha. Me, Rabia and Kak Yani went to the new Giant in there and waited for this bread (which I dun really know how to spell) for 30 minutes! The queue was damn long seriously. And those freaking CHETUKS din know how to queue. Cut only! Idiots. Haha. But the wait was worth it though I got the most pieces. Haha. Coz I queued longer then the other two. Haaaaaa.... Fun night. Hot night. Hectic night. Ouh. Saw Ting as well at the 7-11 haha.. That was a small lil bonus. Hahahahaha..

I would like to get myself a new smart casual shirt. Black is the only sensible choice.
I would like to get myself a new pair of skate shoes from The Fallen. Plus a deck too please.
And my all time wish is to meet Nora Danis, Katy Perry, Haley Williams and Cassadee Pope.
I would like to take pictures with them but not do the other 2 things Ra2 would do with Torres, which is Kissing and hugging. Haha.

Last but not least, today's is a boring day and as you can probably tell, I'm doing this post cause a certain SOMEONE that goes by the name of Rahimah asked me to. Or rather, FORCED me to.. HAHAHA!

Much thanks to all 3 for helping me out with my piece and giving advice. Next month another prod. guys!! Haha.. Ouh yeah. The only bad thing about today was that Singapore loss to Vietnam in the Asian Cup Semi's. I came just in time to see them lose. Haha. Poor, poor Singapore. Cracking under pressure? Hell, I dunno.. After that, I headed to Yishun to FINALLY buy my cans for painting session this Sunday with TIP. Went back home and started a random vector for Syafiq. Haha. He's been asking for it but never gave his pic. So, I just grabbed one from his friendster. Experimented on the new Skin Colour Swatches I got from DeviantArt. Thanks whoever made it! Sure made the job easier. Comments much appreciated! Ouh! Hanis got herself a Deviant account too. Haha. Photographer or whaaat, Hanis?? Haha. What's the plan for tomorrow? I dunno. SLEEP! Haha. Random Thoughts: I'm not sleepy yet. I wonder why.
Starting afresh from the recent post. Today was AWESOME. Haha.. Went to watch BOLT with Hanis, Fatihah, Rafdah and Fadilah. The movie, even though it looked childish in the poster, was very worth it. Please consider watching it. Haha. Look out for the hamster too. That guy seems to be everyones' favourite character. "TOTALLY AWESOME!" Haha. Apologies to Fadilah if she arrived to her work place late. Fatihah's going to Australia tomorrow night, so today was like a farewell outing for her. Haha. WE FORGOT TO TAKE THE TIX FROM HER! Damn. Ouh, ouh... I just came back from hanging out with Ting at the 7-11 that''s beside my house. What was her reason for wanting to chill with me there? Haha. She said it was because the people working at this shift were all the "senior citizens". Haha. Well that made my day. So did the movie too. RAZMI, HELMY, VIMS, HAZIQ, can't wait for New Year's outing till late. Haha. Old times again, huh? Haha. Ouh. Buddy's not online today :( Kind of bored now. Haha. Sigh. Sometimes, I just feel like I'm only that little, unimportant speck of dust in everyone's life that they don't need. A waste of space. Get what I mean? I dunno. It's like I don't eve know what I'm doing in my life. Doesn't seem like there's anything worth waiting for, much less the chances of anything purely good, a miracle in fact, that's gonna appear in my life. Sucks huh? Well yeah. That's my life, and my point of view on what's happening. Who am I trying to be? A hero? How can I even be one when I can't do anything to help myself. Putting on that mask I where everyday, making people think that I'm fine, making people think "NAH, THAT GUY CAN'T HAVE A PROBLEM". H.A.H.A. I wish. My teenage angst just engulfing over everyone who gets me even just a teeny bit angry. I wish I wasn't like that. Sigh. I dunno. Problems and mistakes are just stepping stones in life?? Random thoughts: OH MAN. Parents going back to work only on tuesday. So loooong... Tsk.
My art blog seems to be decaying more and more each day. It's now like a normal blog. Even that, it still looks like it's dead if not for Ra2 forcing me to blog. Ahaha.. Mom and Dad still not back at work tomorrow. On tuesday finally it'll be dad's turn to go back to work. On weds, moms turn. I mean it's not like I'm forcing them not to have a break, but whenever this time of year comes when both aren't working for a long period of time, they make me do errands till my arms feel like it can fall off. Seems that their BREAK is working out well, seems it's me doing the work most of the time. Ahh.. But, on a brighter side, I managed to get out of the HOUSE OF STRESS for a few days and UN-STRESS myself. Friday, went to granny's house to sleepover there as I was planning to hang out at TP with Razmi and Helmy till late. Haha. Both of them did a vector and I helped a wee bit. Haha. Doing good guys! Ouh, seeing them hard at work on their vector made me feel like I'm neglecting my own vectoring. Haha. So, I got started on Fadilah's overdue(as usual, if you know me) vector. Saturday, went out with (XOXO) to a, sadly unfinished, Northpoint. Haha. Not so good a location for hanging out if you ask me. Haha. Ahh but what the hell. The day went great. Haha. Happy aku. She's wanna start doing digital art too. But she wanna focus more on Pop art. Haha. As for my plan to paint on saturday, well, I didn't manage to get enough cash for paint. Expensive hobby? Nope. Not to me. Worth it. Haha. Today, sadly, I stayed at home for the whole day. Haha. BORING SIAK!! Luckily I never end up talking alone. Haha. Maybe going out with Kecoh-rables this wednesday for a movie outing. Woohoo. I get to see BOLT. Haha. Ouh, one last thing:
ATTENTION OTHER FRIENDS OF MINE! ASK ME OUT!! IT'S THE HOLIDAYS!! I DON'T WANT TO ROT AT HOME!!!!
